Disable Tiger’s Unified Windows

Tiger has brought yet another look to the Mac windows. The new “Unified Window” is showing up in all sorts of applications—System Preferences, Xcode, Mail, and others.

An APE module has emerged on the internet that allows you to disable the Unified Window look. You can apply it to all applications or just specific ones (Mail 2 comes to mind…). Best of all, it’s free!

It requires having the Application Enhancer prefpane installed, but that can be easily picked up here: Unsanity’s Application Enhancer
