It is time to ‘Make a Scene’ with the 2006 iOscars. The event details can be found at http://mac.byu.edu/iOscars.

If you would like to get more involved in the iOscars, volunteer to help out by clicking on the volunteer tab, you’ll get free admission to the premiere and a free t-shirt. Click on the link above and then choose “volunteer” to become a volunteer. We look forward to seeing everyone on March 24th for the viewing of the films.

Everyone was invited to make a 3-minute film about life at BYU using iMovie, and we’ll we watching and voting for the best movies that night.

We need people to help out!! There is a lot to be done that night, and we need 20 people to volunteer to do such things as usher, make popcorn, fill drinks, and show off iPods. Your reward will be your very own blue or black sweater vest that has an Apple and BYU bookstore logo. Come be a part of BYU history! To volunteer send an email to admin@mac.byu.edu with your name and phone number.

Are you good with Photoshop? We need someone to create menus for the iOscars DVD in Photoshop. Please contact admin@mac.byu.edu ASAP if you’re interested in doing this.

Are you the next Napoleon Dynamite?

Find out by entering the first annual BYU iOscars! Everyone is invited to make an up to 3 minute movie about “Life at BYU” using Apple’s easy-to-use iMovie software. And in case Fox Searchlight doesn’t pick up your movie and pay you millions of dollars, you can still win a Mac mini, an iPod mini, or an iPod shuffle!

But act fast. The free registration deadline is March 18th. The deadline for the movies is March 25th.
