I have final cut express and was able to import my full HD video into FCE but I now need to burn it to a DVD (BR on regular DVD that is). I want it to stay as 1080 and no be downgraded. Any thoughts on ways to do this?
Other details:
1. I also have Toast Titanium 9 with the BluRay/HD support plug in.
2. Sony HDR-SR11 Cam recorder (1090i)
3. Don't have a Blu Ray burner yet.
4. Just want to get family movies captures on cheaper DVD and DVDDL for now. Later one prices come down I'll switch to real Blu Ray discs.
Any thoughts or help is approcated.

Have you tried iDVD? It came free with your Mac and should be in your /Applications folder.

If you make sure that the export settings are correct on FCE (export it h.264 at 1080i), then iDVD will be able to put it onto a disk for you.
Also, Toast should be able to take care of making that DVD as well.
So...yeah, just export it to your desktop and then use either of those programs to put it onto a DVD for you.
