I have set up my MacBook to receive eMail when I had the computer at home in Denver. Now that I'm a student here at BYU,I wnat to set up the Apple "mail" program to still receive eMail with my old comcast.net eMail address and not have to change my eMail address to a byu.edu address - but since I'm on the BYU.edu service is this even possible? Please send your responses to my Dad: dprusse@greatwestinc.com Thanks

I have had my MacBook since January and have never had a problem with Mail until I tried to use it in conjunction with the BYU network. I am able to download email from online email accounts (gmail, hotmail, and a previous universities email server) but after writing an email while connected to the BYU network the send function does not work. All outgoing messages are just archived in the Outbox and I can't send them until I arrive home and connect to my personal network.

I have a feeling that this is no longer possible. Or at least it seemed that way when I read the descriptions setting it up, but here goes.
When setting up my BYU email account in Mail preferences I set the server to nm.bye.edu and then put my user id and password, yet it does not work. Is there a way to fix this?
Is there any way to display how many unread messages I have in my menu bar?
